Requirements for .law
Only qualified lawyers can register a .Law domain name
Before registering a .Law domain name, you must first send us certain documents, in order to verify the eligibility to register the domain name:
The reference number of their registration with their Regulator
The jurisdiction of their Regulator
The name of the Regulator
The domain name will be registered after the Registrant was validated by the registry's validation proccess- at a minimum of 5 business days.
Year of registration
In August 2016 the eligibility policy for registering a .Law domain has changed, and It is now possible for Authorized Legal Institutions (i.e., law firms, law schools, legal regulators such as bar associations, and courts of law to register .Law domain names.
Starting August 2016, the verification process that determines the eligibility to register a . Law domain name will take place after the domain has been registered.
It`s important to understand that if the holder is not eligible to register a .Law domain name, the domain will be deleted.
